Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation preferred
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
ability to handle fast-paced work environment
physical ability to lift and stand for long periods
must be punctual and reliable
willingness to learn new cooking techniques and menu items

skillfully uses hand tools or machines needed for the position
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
able to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects

Job Duties

efficiently prepares food items as ordered
exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices to deliver quality product
weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes
properly prepares meat, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
stays ahead of orders by anticipating demand throughout shift
maintains cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies
prepares and maintains line and par levels as required by the current menu
keeps walk-in cooler/freezer organized
may assist with inventory temp logs and waste logs
