The Prep Cook/Line Cook plays a critical role in maintaining the fast-paced nature of the restaurant by ensuring ingredients and food items are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards. This role is essential for the smooth operation of the kitchen, helping to deliver consistent, high-quality menu items to customers. In this position, individuals are expected to keep ingredients ready for service, adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines, and follow prep recipes accurately to maintain the consistency of Nando's signature dishes. Candidates for this role must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure in a team environment while committing to the highest standards of food quality and safety. Additionally, this role requires effective communication skills in English and the physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and moving around the restaurant efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • physically able to lift up to 15lbs for extended periods
  • able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for 8-10 hours per day
  • good hand-eye coordination
  • ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, lift overhead
  • must be able to climb stairs in multi-level restaurants
