Currently, Morrison Living is hiring both full-time and part-time Prep Cook positions at their Clark at Franklin location in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Job Requirements

  • Prior cooking experience required
  • Ability to follow federal, state and local food safety regulations
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Availability for full-time or part-time schedules
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends
  • Must comply with company drug-free workplace policy
  • Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
  • Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • Store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • Follow HACCP guidelines
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, logs as required
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
