The company is deeply committed to fostering a positive dining experience that goes beyond food by integrating cutting-edge nutrition education programs that promote healthy lifestyle choices among students. At its core, FISD believes in nourishing the whole person and creating a vibrant community through great food and educational programs, supporting the overall well-being of students and staff alike.
FISD is currently hiring immediately for a full-time Prep Cook position located at Episcopal Day Augusta, 2248 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary and will be further detailed during the interview process. The Prep Cook role is an essential part of the kitchen team, responsible for preparing food and serving customers while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations and standards related to food safety and sanitation.
The ideal candidate will have previous foodservice experience, which is preferred but not strictly required, as internal employee referral bonuses are available. Responsible for maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards, the Prep Cook will operate and clean kitchen equipment per department procedures, store and label food correctly following HACCP guidelines, complete necessary documentation and logs, and assist in customer service by taking orders and serving items requiring short preparation time.
This role requires an individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced foodservice environment with attention to detail and customer satisfaction in mind. The Prep Cook will serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner at multiple stations, utilize approved recipes for proper portions and temperature, as well as resolve any customer concerns promptly. The position also includes performing other duties as assigned, supporting the team’s overall success in delivering outstanding dining experiences.
