Job Requirements
- Prior prep cooking experience preferred
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness
- Ability to taste and assess food quality
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to food preparation
- Must comply with all food safety regulations
- Authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior prep cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and production instructions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Customer service experience beneficial
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
- Prepare items following established quantities and recipes
- Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
- Taste completed meals to ensure quality
- Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
- Store, label and date all food items according to policy
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation time
- Serve customers efficiently and friendly
- Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control
- Resolve customer concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned
