Within this partnership, Proof of the Pudding offers elevated food service in specialized settings including the Press/Media area and the Executive Dining location. This commitment to superior catering and food service in high-profile, fast-paced environments highlights their expertise and leadership in the industry.

The company is currently seeking additional Prep Cooks to join their talented culinary team to support both daily food service and game-day experiences within the main kitchen. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of food quality and efficiency required in such a dynamic setting. The Prep Cook position is primarily responsible for assisting with mass food production, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the executive and culinary leadership by completing assigned culinary tasks. The role demands keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a busy kitchen environment.

Prep Cooks at Proof of the Pudding will have the opportunity to work with a team committed to excellence, safety, and guest satisfaction. They will handle a variety of duties including setting up and sanitizing workstations, measuring ingredients, preparing cooking elements such as soup stocks, and following prep lists created by lead culinary staff. They also assist in ensuring proper storage of food items and maintaining safety standards in all kitchen and food service areas.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals with at least one year of kitchen experience, preferably with some catering background, and those who are ServSafe certified or open to receiving training. Job Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen
  • experience in catering is preferred
  • must have knowledge of food preparation
  • ability to read production sheets
  • ability to complete tasks efficiently
  • ServSafe certified or available to receive training
  • physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • ability to work standing for prolonged periods
  • must adhere to company uniform requirements including non-slip shoes

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen, experience in catering is preferred
  • knowledge of food preparation, reading production sheets, and completing tasks
  • ServSafe certified or willingness to receive training
  • capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
  • excellent listening, communication skills, and customer service
  • planning and multi-tasking abilities
  • self-motivated with a high energy level and strong verbal communication
  • must have an understanding of food safety practices including temperature logs and cleaning/sanitizing paperwork

Job Duties

  • Setting up and sanitizing workstations
  • following prep lists created by lead culinary
  • measuring ingredients and seasonings and preparing cooking ingredients such as soup stock to be used in the cooking process
  • preparing simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef
  • ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible
  • assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise
  • supervising food and cooling room temperatures
  • accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers
  • maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen
  • maintaining the highest level of food quality with your culinary team
  • ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen/food service areas
  • perform other related duties as needed
