Whether you’re just beginning your culinary journey or looking to refine your skills, Neighborly offers a welcoming atmosphere where passion for food and hospitality comes first.

The role of Prep Cook at Neighborly is a foundational position crucial to the success of the kitchen and the overall guest experience. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis and offers an hourly salary range of $18.50 to $20.00 per hour, plus tips. Working under the guidance of the Executive Kitchen Manager (EKM), the Prep Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of ingredients — meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, dressings, and marinades — in accordance with Neighborly's established recipes and culinary standards. Precision and consistency are key, as the Prep Cook ensures that all components are ready and prepped with care before service begins. This role demands strong culinary skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

Beyond ingredient preparation, the Prep Cook plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the kitchen workspace. They participate actively in opening and closing duties and uphold all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards to protect both guests and staff. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, a team-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills to contribute to a smooth kitchen operation. This position is ideal for someone who values structure and standards and understands that great service begins long before the first order is fired. With opportunities to grow and learn within a supportive, high-energy environment, joining Neighborly as a Prep Cook is a chance to be part of an exciting new restaurant venture dedicated to delivering quality, consistency, and a memorable dining experience.
