Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years prior experience in similar position
- Must obtain TABC and Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work
- Must be reliable and responsible
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills to understand measurements, requisition amounts, and portion sizes
- Ability to operate kitchen appliances such as stoves, ovens, mixers
- Knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to perform duties in confined spaces
- Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges

Job Duties
- Receive orders from restaurant servers and prepare the order in line with the Executive Chef’s instruction
- Maintain appropriate sanitation of the line with Health Department and Moody Gardens standards
- Assist in all necessary preparation for buffet and operations of line
- Check all coolers at the beginning and end of shift and make sure they are all running at the right temperature
- Handle fresh seafood with care
- making sure it is iced down around the clock
- Keep the line clean at all times
- Check the banquet function sheet every morning
- Set the line for the next day
- Keep up with stock and alert Executive Chef if an item has run out or is running low
- Follow recipes at all times
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
