Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
- One or more years experience cooking in a fast-paced, cook-to-order kitchen preferred
- One or more years experience with scratch cooking preferred
- Sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull continuously without sitting for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform all essential functions in varying temperature ranges

Job Duties
- Prepare meats, vegetables, potatoes, bread products, desserts, and other food items
- Ensure quality and quantity control of food prepared
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food prep station
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and kitchen staff
- Support the Executive Chef and culinary team as needed
- Model The Sterling Touch® professional, friendly, courteous, and timely service standards
