Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years relevant culinary experience preferred
  • food handler's certification or ability to obtain
  • proficiency in English reading and communication
  • flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong sanitation and safety adherence
  • positive attitude and teamwork focus
  • punctuality and reliability
  • good organizational skills
  • physical ability to perform kitchen tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, speak, understand, follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • reachable by email and able to communicate via phone
  • communicates information effectively
  • excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure
  • knowledge of workplace safety procedures and Department of Health standards
  • food handler's certification or ability to obtain
  • able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
  • good oral communication skills
  • ability to execute recipes and service per company policy
  • proficient knife-handling skills
  • culinary arts degree preferred
  • familiarity with Korean cuisine preferred
  • 1+ years similar experience preferred
  • excellent understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

Job Duties

  • Sets up and sanitizes workstations prior to prep work
  • produces assigned menu dishes according to prep lists
  • measures ingredients and prepares cooking ingredients
  • undertakes basic cooking duties such as cutting, slicing, peeling, monitoring stock, reducing sauces, preparing pickles and kimchi
  • ensures all food and items are properly stored, tagged, labeled, covered, and rotated
  • complies with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • supervises food and cooling room temperatures
  • labels, stocks, and organizes ingredients for accessibility
  • works efficiently with kitchen team and follows food safety standards
  • keeps utensils and equipment clean and sanitary
  • avoids cross contamination by following preparation standards
  • reports on time in uniform and ready for work
  • assists other stations as requested by management
  • performs additional tasks assigned by Executive and Sous Chef
  • trains new employees as assigned
