Within this dynamic environment, the University of Tulsa location is currently seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to join the Sodexo team. This position offers employment opportunities on either a full-time or part-time basis, with pay ranging from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Work shifts are varied, and open availability is preferred to accommodate the university's scheduling needs. As a Prep Cook, you will play an essential role in day-to-day kitchen operations by assisting in the preparation of both hot and cold menu items. Your efforts will contribute directly to the delivery of high-quality meals to students, faculty, and staff, supporting Sodexo’s mission to create a better everyday experience for everyone.
The role requires a team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude, along with adaptability to changing kitchen demands. As a Prep Cook, you'll read recipes and product directions carefully, assist with food preparation using kitchen utensils and equipment, and handle basic cooking tasks such as preparing vegetables and chicken for salads. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment is paramount to ensuring a safe and healthy food preparation environment. Timely attendance and reliability are also critical components, as you need to consistently show up for scheduled shifts with punctuality and satisfactory regularity.

Job Duties
- Reads recipes and/or product directions and assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods using a variety of kitchen utensils/equipment

- Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
