The Prep Cook position at PopStroke offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. This role involves assisting kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, managing inventory, ensuring food quality and safety, and collaborating with the culinary team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The role is non-exempt with a pay rate of $18 to $24 per hour, ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work in a team-driven setting.

This role demands physical stamina, as it requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 pounds, as well as the capability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools. Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and marinating, following recipes and portion guidelines
- Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste
- Organize and stock ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth workflow during meal service
- Maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation in all the kitchen areas, including equipment, countertops, and storage areas, following food safety regulations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure food quality and freshness
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, labeling prep items, receiving supplies, and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies
- Follow all safety procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and workflow
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Assist with dishwashing duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned
