The position available is that of a Cook, whose primary role involves preparing various food products including meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces, breads, and more using a variety of kitchen equipment and utensils safely. The cook ensures proper food temperature and safe storage by monitoring and rotating food, maintains a clean and sanitary cooking area, and assists the cooks' line with urgency during peak hours. This role demands excellent knife handling skills, knowledge of safe food handling procedures, and the ability to read and understand recipes and preparation methods clearly. The cook also plays an essential part in helping fellow team members, accepting direction from management, and upholding the restaurant's policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
- Must have a current food handler's card or other legally required certifications
- Must complete required workplace harassment and additional training
- Ability to maintain consistent food quality and high standards
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach extensively
- Ability to work 8-10 hours per day
- Punctuality and commitment to scheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- Restaurant experience desirable
- Excellent knife handling skills

Job Duties
- Ensures excellent food preparation and food quality
- Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in grills, fryers and a variety of kitchen equipment
- Follows recipes, including standard portion control, cooking methods and quality standards according to restaurant standards and specifications
- Ensures menu recipes are prepared timely, prioritizing items needed on the cook's line
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area
- Reports equipment and food quality problems promptly to management
- Acts as a team player by assisting fellow workers
- Accepts direction from management and leads team members
- Comes to work on time and prepares for each shift with a positive attitude, commitment, and appropriate uniform
- Remains flexible with daily schedule changes depending on restaurant needs
