We are currently seeking motivated Prep Cooks to join our fast-paced, high-volume, full-service restaurant team. This role offers a compensation range of $16.50 to $21.75 per hour and includes opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment with flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in scratch cooking by preparing hundreds of recipes using fresh, high-quality ingredients, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish. The successful candidate will work alongside a supportive kitchen team, demonstrating pride in food preparation, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
Your daily responsibilities will include following precise prep lists and recipes, accurately measuring and portioning ingredients, employing strong knife skills in chopping, dicing, and slicing, and using various cooking techniques such as boiling, broiling, roasting, sautéing, frying, and grilling. You'll prep ingredients for more than 200 menu items, including sauces, dressings, and soups, and operate kitchen equipment like ovens, fryers, grills, and mixers. Adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures for labeling, dating, and rotating food is essential, as is maintaining organization, cleanliness, safety, and strong communication within the team. The ability to work well under pressure while sustaining high operational standards is critical for success in this position.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, continuously bend, reach and twist
- Prior kitchen experience in the food service industry preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and food safety standards
- Reliable and punctual with a positive, patient attitude
- Dependable, adaptable, and dedicated with a strong work ethic
- Passionate about hospitality and contributing to a positive team culture

Job Duties
- Follow a prep list while completing tasks efficiently with speed and a sense of urgency
- Read and follow recipes using accurate measurements, weights, and portioning for consistent recipe execution
- Prepare ingredients using strong knife skills including chopping, dicing, and slicing
- Use a variety of cooking methods and culinary techniques including boiling, broiling, roasting, sauteing, frying, and grilling
- Prep ingredients for 200+ menu items including sauces, dressings, and soups
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, broilers, flat tops, grills, tilt skillets, mixers, and slicers
- Label, date, and rotate food using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
