We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of our kitchens by preparing food items needed for meal service according to established recipes and portion control guidelines. The Prep Cook position offers a unique work-life balance with no set schedule, requiring work only every other weekend, which is ideal for those seeking to avoid the late hours typically associated with culinary roles. Employees enjoy the benefit of next-day pay through our PayActiv program, providing financial flexibility by allowing team members to get paid the day after they work.
This role not only offers hands-on experience in a dynamic kitchen environment but also includes an enriching educational opportunity through our partnership with Rouxbe Online Culinary School. New employees will advance their culinary careers by completing comprehensive courses that confer 9 transferable college credit hours, empowering them with professional skills and credentials for long-term career success. Job Requirements

- one year of progressive culinary experience preferred
- willingness to work every other weekend
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- reliable and punctual
- basic knife skills and kitchen equipment proficiency
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year of progressive responsibility in a full-service restaurant, catering, healthcare, country club/hotel, or cruise line environment is helpful
- ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines accurately
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
- willingness to learn and participate in ongoing culinary education
