We are currently seeking motivated Prep Cooks to join our restaurants inside the CID Airport. This position offers both full-time and part-time shifts with competitive pay at $18.00 per hour. Immediate hiring is available, providing candidates with quick onboarding to start their culinary journey promptly. The Prep Cook role is integral to the kitchen team, responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining stock, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. Candidates will follow precise recipes, practice portion control, and assist in the daily set-up and clean-up of kitchen stations. This role requires a hands-on approach to various food prep tasks, including cutting, storing perishables, and handling kitchen equipment.
The ideal Prep Cook will have at least one year of experience in a food service environment and possess basic English communication and math skills necessary for effective interaction with team members and order processing. Job Duties
- Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station on a daily basis
- Requisition and stock all required food, paper products, and condiments
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
- Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of machinery and equipment
- Maintain stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required
- Take responsibility for quality of products served
- Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
