This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.20 to $20.64, depending on prior experience and work history, alongside a robust benefits package. The position centers on assisting with the preparation and presentation of meals within Atria’s senior living communities. This role requires collaboration with kitchen leadership, such as the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, to ensure that residents receive high-quality food and dining services. Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, following recipes and production guides, and supporting meal and special event execution. The role demands a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to operational standards established by the company and local regulations.

A successful candidate will be proficient in English communication, possess a food handler’s permit as required by local laws, and have ServSafe certification. They must be knowledgeable about proper food handling, preparation, cooking, and service techniques to contribute effectively to the kitchen team. Job Duties

  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of meals
  • provide a high level of customer service
  • work closely with the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs
  • maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times
  • adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned
  • ensure that all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards
  • assist cook with preparation and presentation of meals and snacks in accordance with company recipes and production guides
  • keep kitchen floors clean and trash emptied
  • assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies
  • assist cooks as requested
  • adhere to standard food safety practices
  • assist with preparing and executing special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • operate and maintain kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary manner
  • attend pre-meal stand-up in the kitchen prior to meal service
  • may perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
