With a strong commitment to brewing exceptional craft beers and delivering memorable dining experiences, Maui Brewing Co. has established itself as a leader in the Hawaii craft beer scene. Their Kailua location combines the brewery’s innovative spirit with a warm, island-style hospitality that creates a unique work environment. Employees are encouraged to become part of the 'ohana, which is Hawaiian for family, emphasizing teamwork, respect, and community both within the workplace and in their connections with guests and the wider community.

With competitive pay ranging between $18 and $19 per hour plus additional tips, this position is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation and eager to thrive in a fast-paced, craft food and beverage environment. In this role, prep cooks are responsible for following detailed prep lists and recipes, ensuring all food is prepared accurately and according to the brewery’s standards. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, along with adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Punctuality, readiness to work, and a willingness to learn new skills and support other kitchen stations are key expectations for the person in this role.

These include a $500 hiring bonus spread over initial training and after six months, additional tips based on sales performance, early access to wages through DailyPay, and significant employee discounts on food, drinks, and merchandise. Moreover, the company supports health and wellness with medical, vision, and dental insurance options for those working more than 20 hours a week, paid time off after one year, and free or affordable shift meals that contribute to a positive work-life balance.
This position also requires compliance with Hawaii state regulations regarding health clearances, specifically a TB clearance upon hire, reflecting the company’s commitment to health and safety for its staff and guests. Overall, the prep cook role at Maui Brewing Co. Kailua is not only a job but an opportunity to grow professionally within a company that values quality, community, and the craft beer lifestyle.
