As part of a growing restaurant group, we emphasize a supportive, team-oriented culture and opportunities for career advancement. We prioritize high-quality ingredients, food safety, and efficient kitchen operations to deliver an outstanding dining experience.

Your efforts will contribute to maintaining consistency, accuracy, and quality throughout the food preparation process.

In this position, you will also ensure that prep stations, storage areas, equipment, and tools are kept clean, sanitized, and properly organized. You will follow strict food safety guidelines including proper storage, labeling, temperature control, and prevention of cross-contamination. The ability to restock and rotate ingredients efficiently to maintain freshness and reduce waste is essential.

Additionally, the Prep Cook will help with setting up and breaking down prep areas, assisting cooks, sushi chefs, and other kitchen team members as needed, and promptly communicating any supply shortages, equipment problems, or safety concerns to leadership. Upholding Trapper's Sushi core values of teamwork, respect, accountability, professionalism, communication, honesty, and kindness will be vital for success in this role.

This role offers competitive pay ranging from $18.25 to $20.75 per hour depending on experience, and is classified as a non-exempt position eligible for overtime pay. Employees receive medical insurance with 80% employer coverage after 60 days (with qualifying hours), a 401(k) plan with company match (eligible after one year of service), and voluntary dental and vision coverage. Additionally, employees can access an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid sick leave according to Washington state and local laws, and employee meal discounts. Trapper's Sushi is committed to diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or other protected statuses.

If you are passionate about food preparation, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and want to be part of a team that values quality and professionalism, this Prep Cook position is an excellent opportunity to grow your culinary career with an esteemed restaurant.
