As a Prep Cook at SSP America, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operations run smoothly and that customers receive high-quality food items. Your responsibilities will include following detailed recipes to accurately prepare, garnish, and present menu items while maintaining portion control. You will be expected to manage the kitchen station by setting up and maintaining an efficient workspace daily, handling requisitions, and stocking all necessary supplies such as food, paper products, and condiments. Proper handling, storage, and rotation of all products are key to maintaining freshness and quality.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the setup, cleaning, maintenance, and breakdown of kitchen machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Daily tasks include maintaining stock, cutting, and proper storage of perishables and completing opening, ongoing, and closing checklists. The role demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering quality in every dish served. You will also perform both general and specific cleaning duties using assigned cleaning products to uphold health regulations. Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station on a daily basis
- Requisition and stock all required food, paper products, and condiments
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
- Responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of any machinery and equipment
- Maintain stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required
- Take responsibility for quality of products served
- Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
- Other duties as assigned
