The role of a Produce Team Member at Whole Foods Market is essential in maintaining the highest standards within the produce department. Responsibilities include cutting and preparing fruits and vegetables, maintaining product quality, managing sampling programs, and providing ongoing customer support through suggestive selling and addressing customer needs promptly. The Produce Team Member is also responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of the department and equipment, as well as ensuring accurate signage and pricing. This position requires physical endurance to handle lifting, standing, and use of various tools and machinery safely. Job Requirements

  • No prior retail experience required
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing or walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling hand use
  • ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures ranging from freezing to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Cut fruits and vegetables following safety and sanitation rules
