As a company, Texas Roadhouse values its employees, known as Roadies, recognizing them as the heart and soul of the organization. They foster a workplace culture that emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and employee satisfaction, defining their brand not only by their food but also by their vibrant community and supportive atmosphere.

Texas Roadhouse is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join their team. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $12.00 to $14.00, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding employees fairly for their hard work and dedication. As a Prep Cook, you will play an integral role in supporting the kitchen operations by ensuring that food preparation tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Texas Roadhouse’s detailed recipes and safety standards.

They will also oversee the cleanliness and organization of the walk-in refrigerator, maintain proper use and upkeep of kitchen equipment, and strictly adhere to food storage and rotation procedures to guarantee food safety and freshness. An emphasis on maintaining proper safety and sanitation practices is paramount in this position, ensuring the kitchen environment complies with health standards. Additionally, the Prep Cook is expected to embody Texas Roadhouse’s team-oriented culture, working collaboratively with fellow Roadies to contribute to a smooth and successful kitchen operation.

Being a Prep Cook at Texas Roadhouse means being part of a larger family where career development is encouraged. The company offers formal training programs designed to equip Roadies with the skills they need today and to prepare them for future roles. Beyond basic wage compensation, employees enjoy a variety of benefits, including competitive health insurance options, dental and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually, paid vacation, and several types of insurance coverage such as life, accident, and critical illness insurance. Other employee advantages include identity theft protection, an employee assistance program, and business travel insurance. The company also provides fun workplace activities such as friendly competitions, recognition programs, and flexible work schedules to ensure work-life balance.

Texas Roadhouse is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, actively promoting an inclusive work environment where all individuals can thrive regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, gender identity, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, citizenship, or national origin.
