This role is critical to maintaining the operational excellence of the Prepared Foods department by engaging in all aspects of preparation, counter service, sanitation, and the stocking of products. As a Team Member in this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that all prepared foods meet Whole Foods Market’s stringent quality standards and operational procedures. Your duties will also include assisting with production across all Prepared Foods venues, labeling products correctly including dates and initials, and maintaining product safety through proper rotation and covering of items. You will document waste and spoilage accurately, use correct measuring devices to follow recipes, and contribute to a clean and organized work environment, including walk-in coolers and freezers. Beyond technical tasks, this role requires excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate product knowledge, emphasize the unique qualities of Whole Foods Market products over conventional grocery options, and employ suggestive selling techniques to enhance the customer experience. Punctuality, appropriate grooming, adherence to safety regulations, and a strong work ethic are also essential attributes for success in this fast-paced position.
