Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and move for long shifts in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Commitment to sanitation, safety, and cleanliness
  • Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks in tight spaces
  • Willingness to follow directions and work collaboratively

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work with knives and perform precise portioning
  • Capacity to communicate effectively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional attitude with a willingness to learn and take direction
  • Familiarity with Japanese cuisine or chef-driven dining is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients accurately and consistently according to prep lists, recipes, and standards
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces
  • Support basic cooking tasks to assist culinary team during service
  • Communicate continuously with kitchen team to keep service flowing smoothly
  • Perform knife work and portioning with precision and craftsmanship
  • Fully engage in active kitchen environment, handling physical demands and pace of prep work
  • Demonstrate dependability and professionalism with full availability for shifts
