The role under recruitment is for a Prep Cook position, based out of the bank’s Clayton, Missouri location. This full-time role is crucial to supporting the kitchen operations by preparing food and ensuring the kitchen environment is clean and organized. The Prep Cook will play an important part in facilitating the Chef’s ability to efficiently prepare meals by managing ingredients, parboiling foods, seasoning, and handling some dish preparations such as salads or other simpler menu items. The work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with the potential need for flexibility during early morning or evening events.
Compensation for this position ranges between $16.85 to $19.25 per hour, depending on relevant experience, skills, and competencies. Job Duties
- keep the kitchen clean and orderly
- ensure the chef is able to prepare the menu efficiently by ensuring all ingredients are in stock, parboiling foods, and season and prepare the necessary ingredients for cooking
- wash cutlery and dishes
- prepare some dishes such as salads or other less complex menu items
- set out all of the chef's ingredients before each shift and refill as necessary
- perform other duties as assigned
