The role of Prep Cook within Heritage Hotels & Resorts is crucial in maintaining the high standards the company is known for. The Prep Cook position is designed for individuals who understand that meticulous preparation forms the backbone of every successful culinary service. This role ensures that all ingredients are prepared precisely and stations are perfectly set to enable seamless and efficient kitchen operations. A Prep Cook at Heritage Hotels & Resorts will be responsible for chopping, slicing, portioning, and organizing various food items while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation standards. The Prep Cook supports the entire kitchen team by adhering to recipes, production schedules, and food safety protocols. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to food quality and cleanliness.

Job Requirements

  • Prior food preparation or kitchen experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Maintain clean, organized workstations and properly handle kitchen equipment
