The company values its employees, affectionately known as 'Roadies,' recognizing them as the heart and soul of the business. Texas Roadhouse fosters a fun and supportive work environment where team members are encouraged to grow professionally while enjoying flexible work schedules and multiple employee benefits. The restaurant chain's culture focuses on loving what you do today while preparing you for future opportunities within the company. If you have a passion for food and want to be part of a successful, growing restaurant that prioritizes teamwork and customer satisfaction, Texas Roadhouse may be the ideal workplace for you.
As a Prep Cook at Texas Roadhouse, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of food quality that the company is known for. This position involves preparing fresh, made-from-scratch ingredients that meet the restaurant’s legendary recipes and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include reading and following prep sheets, organizing and maintaining the walk-in refrigerator to ensure cleanliness and proper food storage, and correctly using kitchen equipment. Attention to food safety and sanitation practices is essential, as the role requires adherence to storage and rotation procedures to prevent spoilage and contamination. Teamwork is emphasized, as Prep Cooks collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure food preparation runs smoothly and efficiently. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment, paying close attention to detail, and contributing to the overall guest dining experience.
Texas Roadhouse offers competitive pay with weekly payment schedules, creating financial flexibility for its employees. Beyond hourly wages, the company provides a generous total rewards package for Roadies who qualify after one year of service. This package includes best-in-class medical plans, dental and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually for continued education, paid vacation time, short-term disability coverage, life and accident insurance, and additional benefits like identity theft protection, an employee assistance program, business travel insurance, and an annual holiday bonus. These offerings demonstrate Texas Roadhouse’s commitment to supporting the well-being and development of its team members. The company is also an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity and inclusion by providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other legally protected status. Joining Texas Roadhouse as a Prep Cook provides an opportunity to become part of a respected and fun workplace where your contributions are valued and where career growth is encouraged.
