Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous kitchen experience preferred but not mandatory
- ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- strong attention to detail and hygiene standards
- good communication skills
- physical ability to perform required kitchen tasks
- willingness to work flexible hours and shifts
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is a plus but not necessary
- at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity
- able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel
- physically able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 40 pounds
- able to stand for long periods up to 5 hours
Job Duties
- Complete opening and closing checklists
- refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties
- prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
- understand and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
- portion food products according to standard recipes
- maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including all kitchen equipment
- close the kitchen properly and assist others in closing
- attend scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions
- report equipment and food quality problems promptly
- inform Kitchen Manager of product shortages
- use Standard Recipe Card for all preparations
- perform other related duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
