As a Breakfast and Evening Buffet Cook, you will play a critical role in providing guests with satisfying meals during their stay, including overseeing the complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback "happy hour". This position requires a team-oriented individual who can maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include preparing and presenting buffet offerings, ensuring cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and lobby areas, and managing food inventory and supplies. You will be pivotal in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen areas
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings
- Good communication skills in English
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of hotel accommodations, the community, and hotel services
- Ability to conduct accurate inventory of food items and calculate order levels
- Warm and friendly manner in communicating with guests
- Ability to speak and receive direction in English
Job Duties
- Make the 5:30 p.m. Kickback happy hour for guests through food preparation and clean-up
- See to it that the kitchen and lobby area are clean and well organized
- Ensure that food safety standards are met and supplies are fully stocked at appropriate levels
- Present and maintain a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture to customers and co-workers
- Answer guest’s questions using knowledge of the hotel, area, and events
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly, guest service with a plus 1 Service attitude
