Job Duties

  • Communicate assistance needs during busy periods to the Chef
  • Notify manager if product does not meet specifications
  • Check and ensure correctness of food and appliance temperatures
  • Monitor quantity of food prepared and portions served
  • Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish of food
  • Serve food in proper portions onto appropriate receptacles
  • Set up, clean, and break down work station
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area including tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking such as portioning, chopping, and storing
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Prepare and cook food
  • Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
  • Use clear and professional language
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
