Job Description
The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort Scottsdale, is a prestigious destination located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Part of Marriott International and The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, this resort epitomizes luxury hospitality with more than a century of experience in providing exceptional guest experiences. The Phoenician is designed to offer guests a refined and memorable stay, featuring world-class amenities and impeccable service standards. With a focus on cultural authenticity and personalized hospitality, The Phoenician is committed to exceeding the expectations of luxury travelers through its unique location and prestigious offerings.
The resort is now seeking a dedicated Prep Cook to join its culinary team within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This full-time, non-management role is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts who want to grow their skills in a high-end luxury restaurant environment. Preferred candidates will have prior experience working in luxury restaurant kitchens or related culinary settings.
As a Prep Cook at The Phoenician, you will be a vital part of a collaborative kitchen team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The position involves preparing fresh ingredients according to recipes, cooking menu items timely while ensuring top quality, and maintaining strict safety and sanitation standards. The resort has also partnered with Rouxbe Culinary School to offer associates online learning tools and culinary training to help grow their careers, underscoring their investment in employee development. You will work closely with expert chefs, continually learning and working with seasonal menus that present new cooking techniques and unique presentations. Your commitment to excellence and attention to detail will directly impact guest satisfaction, making every dining experience memorable.
In this role, maintaining hygiene standards and kitchen safety is paramount. You will be expected to use kitchen equipment responsibly, take care of cleanliness of storage containers and surfaces, and comply with safety certifications and training before starting employment. The position requires physical stamina, including lifting up to 25 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods while maintaining a professional appearance with a clean uniform.
Beyond the kitchen, The Phoenician fosters a supportive work environment offering numerous benefits such as hotel room discounts, gift shop merchandise savings, opportunities for professional development, wellness programs, and employee recognition initiatives. Working here means joining a motivated management team and a collaborative workforce committed to teamwork and mutual success.
Overall, this position offers an outstanding opportunity for culinary professionals who aspire to excel within a luxury hospitality setting. Joining The Phoenician means becoming part of a global family that values diversity, encourages growth, and inspires passion for food and hospitality. As part of The Luxury Collection and Marriott International, employees benefit from a rich heritage and global network that supports their career aspirations and personal development, making it an excellent place to grow and thrive as a culinary expert.
