Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation roles
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a prep cook preferred
- Attention for detail
- Teachable
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification or willingness to attain
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs
- Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients through effective rotation and labeling of product in the walk-in
- Taste all prep items to ensure they are cooked and seasoned correctly
- Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
- Communicate with the incoming shift about prep items that need to be completed or prioritized
