Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a prep cook or kitchen support role is preferred but not required
  • Up to date certifications required by state regulations
  • Ability to follow recipes and directions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Knife skills and safe handling of ingredients
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including mornings evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and portion ingredients including chopping vegetables stewing meats preparing sauces and other prep work required
  • Follow recipe guidelines and standards to ensure consistency in food preparation
  • Ensure all food preparation areas are clean properly sanitized and stocked throughout service hours
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down kitchen stations before and after shifts
  • Support line cooks by ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are ready for meal service
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of ingredients and supplies and communicate any shortages to the chef
