Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a prep cook, kitchen assistant, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen preferred
  • strong knife skills and understanding of basic culinary techniques
  • ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety
  • willingness to support the BOH team and contribute to overall kitchen success
  • positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality

Job Duties

  • Prepare and portion ingredients, proteins, sauces, and garnishes according to recipes and specifications
  • wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and herbs for use in various dishes
  • assist with butchering meat, filleting fish, and handling proteins as needed
  • maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food products to prevent waste
  • ensure the prep station is fully stocked, clean, and always organized
  • work closely with chefs and line cooks to ensure smooth kitchen flow
  • follow recipe guidelines and portion controls to maintain consistency and quality
  • assist in the daily mise en place, ensuring all necessary prep is completed before service
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, following all health department regulations
  • execute tasks assigned by chefs and kitchen leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm
