The role of Prep Cook at Crestline Hotels & Resorts is a vital culinary position responsible for producing cold prep items that align with the forecasted business needs. This role requires the individual to work closely with production sheets, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and par sheets to prepare adequately for daily events, ensuring that all food items meet the highest quality and presentation standards. The Prep Cook is not only responsible for cold food presentations for buffets, banquets, and a la carte dining but also for finishing desserts that complement these dining experiences. The position pays up to $22 per hour based on experience, reflecting the importance of skillful food preparation and attention to detail in maintaining the company’s culinary excellence.

This position offers a hands-on opportunity to be involved in various kitchen operations, including assisting on the pantry, hot line, and omelet station, providing exposure to multiple facets of food preparation.   • Ability to compute basic arithmetic and to comprehend and follow recipes with the appropriate cooking techniques

Job Duties

  • Produces required cold prep items in kitchen to forecasted business
  • Reviews production sheets, BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), and par sheets in order to prepare for the day’s events
  • Produces all cold food presentations for buffets, banquets and a la carte
  • Finishes desserts for a la carte, buffets, and banquets
  • Prepares all food to the highest quality and appearance in accordance with approved recipes
  • Helps out on pantry, hot line, and/or omelet station when needed
