Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand walk bend crouch kneel and reach for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift carry push and pull up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a prep cook in a high-volume environment
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking including chopping slicing dicing and marinating following recipes and portion guidelines
- Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste
- Organize and stock ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth workflow during meal service
- Maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation in all the kitchen areas including equipment countertops and storage areas following food safety regulations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure food quality and freshness
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels rotating ingredients labeling prep items receiving supplies and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies
- Follow all safety procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and workflow
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Assist with dishwashing duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned
