The Food Service Team Member position at Levy offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about food service and eager to grow in a dynamic team environment. The role is hourly with a pay rate fixed at $19.45. This position involves the preparation of food items and customer service in accordance with established federal, state, and local standards and regulations. The team member will work closely under the direction of a Chef to fulfill daily production schedules and ensure all food preparation meets strict quality and safety standards. Duties also include operational tasks such as equipment usage and cleaning, food storage, labeling and documentation in compliance with HACCP guidelines, all designed to maintain the highest levels of food safety and sanitation.

Beyond food preparation, this role demands friendly and efficient interaction with customers, fulfilling order requirements and responding to any concerns promptly and professionally. Providing service at multiple stations from steam tables to grills, the team member ensures portion control, product quality, and maintaining serving temperatures according to approved recipes and standards. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Willingness to follow HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform food preparation tasks
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food service experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the chef
  • Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets
  • Taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use
  • Store, label and date all food items according to policy
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of the food supply
  • Complete all required documentation, reports and logs
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill
  • Serve customers at multiple stations
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and portion control
  • Resolve customer concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned
