Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous kitchen or food preparation experience
- adherence to health and safety regulations
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks
- strong work ethic and reliability
Job Qualifications
- prior experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail and organization
- good communication skills for team collaboration
- willingness to learn and adapt
- culinary school training is a plus
Job Duties
- prepare ingredients for cooking including chopping, slicing, and measuring
- assist chefs and cooks in meal preparation and cooking processes
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- monitor inventory and inform management of supply needs
- follow recipes and portion controls accurately
- support kitchen staff during high-volume periods
