You will be responsible for inspecting and cleaning food preparation areas, including work surfaces and equipment, to uphold the highest standards of sanitation and food safety. Freshness of food and ingredients is paramount, so managing the proper rotation and labeling of products in the walk-in refrigerator is a core part of your duties. Taste and quality control is also a significant responsibility — all food preparation must be seasoned and cooked correctly to delight our guests.
Beyond preparing meals, you will also be an active communicator within the team, coordinating with incoming shifts to prioritize and complete prep tasks efficiently. You will monitor waste diligently, report any concerns found in the waste log to management, and respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback. Your role helps ensure not only individual satisfaction but also the overall operational success of the kitchen.
We welcome candidates who have previous experience as a prep cook and preferably possess ServeSafe or Food Handler's certification, though willingness to obtain these credentials is equally important. Physical stamina is required, as the role involves standing for long hours and periodically lifting more than 30 pounds.
