The current opportunity is for a Prep Cook at Pinky's on the Beach, located at 1 Center Street, Folly Beach, SC. This role is essential in laying the groundwork for smooth kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining organization, and supporting the culinary team. The position offers a competitive wage of $20 per hour along with a $500 sign-on bonus, disbursed in two increments ($250 after 3 months and another $250 after 6 months), providing added financial incentive for committed employees.
As a Prep Cook, you will perform foundational food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, measuring, and parboiling ingredients to set the stage for the kitchen's efficient creation of flavorful dishes. You will be responsible for labeling and stocking ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, and following sanitary regulations rigorously. This role requires a high level of dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with kitchen managers and lead line cooks to ensure all prep tasks are completed timely and to standard.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a prep cook or line cook in a fast-paced restaurant
- Superior dexterity for safe and quick use of cutting tools
- Familiarity with industry-standard cooking and preparation methods
- Certified in proper food handling such as ServSafe
- Ability to follow instructions from kitchen managers and supervisors
- Capacity to work long periods standing and performing repetitive movements
- Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to maintain organization and cleanliness in the kitchen
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED

Job Duties
- Completing all tasks on the prep list as directed by kitchen leadership
