Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to follow detailed instructions
  • capacity to work efficiently in a team
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar role preferred
  • basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • good physical condition and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving items
  • flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Job Duties

  • Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions
  • wash, peel, and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients
  • portion and package ingredients for use during service
  • assist in the preparation of sauces, marinades, and other basic components
  • maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards
  • store food items properly to avoid spoilage and cross-contamination
  • assist with receiving and stocking inventory
  • support the culinary team with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
