Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment
- flexible availability to work various shifts
- knowledge of kitchen equipment and their safe operation
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- ability to perform physical tasks required in kitchen work
- commitment to maintain cleanliness and organization
- willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous kitchen, culinary, or chef experience preferred but not required
- knowledge and experience with kitchen equipment including knives, slicers, mixers, stoves and ovens
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and company specifications
- maintain a clean and organized work station
- follow proper sanitation protocols at all times
- coordinate with kitchen team including line cooks and management
- execute opening and closing duties in the kitchen
- ensure food is presented to J. Alexander's standards
- assist in handling kitchen equipment including knives, slicers, mixers, stoves, and ovens
