The Prep Cook role at J. Alexander's Restaurant is a vital part of the kitchen team responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the kitchen in a fast-paced and professional environment. The restaurant operates scratch kitchens where every dish is crafted with precision based on carefully followed recipes and quality standards. Prep Cooks play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of food presentation and execution expected by the restaurant. Working in an open kitchen layout, this role requires strong communication and teamwork with other kitchen staff, including line cooks, assemblers, and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

As a Prep Cook, you will be tasked with properly preparing ingredients, executing recipes, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work area throughout your shifts. The position demands adherence to all sanitation protocols while performing opening and closing duties. The role is essential for meeting the restaurant’s expectations for food quality, safety, and presentation. J.
