  • experience as a prep cook in a fast-paced work environment
  • knowledge of proper rotation of inventory and FIFO system
  • attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization
  • ability to follow recipes precisely

  • understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • prepare all food products according to Metro Diner recipes using a variety of processes, equipment, and utensils
  • maintain clean and organized kitchen stations
  • comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
  • ensure refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas are organized, clean, and properly sealed, labeled, and dated
  • monitor inventory levels and inform Kitchen Manager of product shortages
  • promptly report equipment and food quality issues
  • adhere to kitchen policies and procedures
