The Prep Cook position is a vital role within our culinary team, responsible for preparing all necessary items that the cook line will require throughout the day. This position is essential to overall kitchen efficiency and success, aiding in the smooth operation of our breakfast, brunch, and lunch service periods. The role involves a variety of kitchen tasks, including chopping vegetables, prepping meats, and ensuring all food items are ready and available in a timely manner. Additionally, the Prep Cook must check food labels to ensure fresh and safe ingredients are being used, and follow any other instructions provided by the Kitchen Manager.
As a member of our kitchen team, the Prep Cook will play an integral part in maintaining the high standards of food preparation and sanitation necessary to run a successful fast dining restaurant. Working early hours and maintaining a steady, organized approach to all prep duties will be key to meeting service demands. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
- ability to work from 6 am to 2 pm seven days a week
- physical ability to stand for long periods
- willingness to learn and take direction
- basic knife skills
