Job Requirements
- Understanding of prepping food products according to Metro Diner recipes using various processes equipment and utensils
- Commitment to utilizing the recipe book at all times regardless of familiarity with dish being prepped
- Willingness to comply with standard portion sizes cooking methods quality standards and kitchen policies and procedures
- Motivation to ensure refrigerators freezers and dry storage areas are organized clean and items properly sealed labeled and dated
- Ability to maintain a clean organized and sanitary work area
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a Prep Cook in a fast-paced work environment
- Knowledge of proper food preparation methods and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to follow recipes and portion controls accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to adhering to kitchen policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Prep all food products according to Metro Diner recipes using various processes equipment and utensils
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Ensure refrigerators freezers and dry storage areas are clean organized sealed labeled and dated
- Comply with standard portion sizes cooking methods quality standards and kitchen policies
- Monitor inventory levels and notify Kitchen Manager of shortages
- Correct prepping errors professionally when identified
- Report equipment and food quality problems promptly
