The Premium Supervisor position within Legends Global’s Food and Beverage department represents a pivotal leadership role responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of stand workers in the VIP area. Reporting directly to the Premium Manager, this non-exempt hourly role requires an energetic and organized individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of service while ensuring compliance with alcohol policies and food safety regulations. This supervisor position requires a balance of frontline interaction with guests and behind-the-scenes oversight of operations. Responsibilities include overseeing stand set-up and closing procedures such as inventory counting, preparation, and cleaning, ensuring all workstations are clean, well-stocked, and properly maintained. The Premium Supervisor orders replacement stock as necessary, completes paperwork accurately, and ensures that food preparation and service meet guidelines established by Legends Global and local health authorities. This role demands a thorough knowledge of all positions within the Premium department as well as the flexibility to fill in at any station when required. The supervisor also works collaboratively with staff to conduct inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and organize stock efficiently for upcoming events.

Performance in this role hinges on strong leadership skills as the Premium Supervisor carries out responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising staff performance, meaning the ability to motivate, develop and manage a team is essential. The position demands excellent organizational abilities, verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and a commitment to guest satisfaction. Working in fast-paced, high volume environments, this role requires quick problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to change seamlessly. The supervisor must maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor while also being physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds and working on their feet for extended periods at Legends Global’s Grand Rapids Complex venues, which include Van Andel Arena, Acrisure Amphitheater, and Amway Stadium. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of food management supervisory experience
  • Ability to complete food and alcohol service training if necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • At least 2 years of supervising experience in food management
  • Ability to complete pre-employment food and alcohol service training such as TIP's and ServSafe
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with POS systems

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of stand workers in the VIP area
  • Oversee and participate in stand set-up and closing procedures including counting inventory, preparation and cleaning
  • Ensure workstations remain clean and sufficiently stocked
  • Order replacement stock from runners as necessary
  • Complete required paperwork efficiently and accurately
  • Ensure employees adhere to alcohol policies
  • Supervise food preparation to meet guidelines set by Legends Global and the Board of Health
  • Fill any position in the Premium department as needed
  • Work with stand personnel to count ending inventory, clean equipment, and organize stock for following events
