Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • must complete food safety and sanitation training
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • physically able to perform duties requiring standing and lifting
  • reliable and punctual work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets such as production sheets and recipes
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
  • ensure food items are stored safely, organized, and hazard-free
  • maintain all serving schedules ensuring food items meet menu specifications and safety standards
  • maintain a sanitary environment following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees, promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • perform preventative equipment maintenance
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multi-task effectively
  • perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • manage catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff via various channels
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
