Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
- must complete food safety and sanitation training
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- physically able to perform duties requiring standing and lifting
- reliable and punctual work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
- knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
- ability to perform basic arithmetic
- maintain emotional control under stress
- ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets such as production sheets and recipes
- direct daily activities
- maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and procedures
- ensure food items are stored safely, organized, and hazard-free
- maintain all serving schedules ensuring food items meet menu specifications and safety standards
- maintain a sanitary environment following health and safety codes
- maintain accurate weekly inventory
- prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
- supervise and evaluate employees, promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
- maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
- train and mentor food service workers
- maintain equipment maintenance logs
- ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
- perform preventative equipment maintenance
- recommend equipment replacement
- multi-task effectively
- perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
- fill in for absent employees
- manage catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
- work occasional night and weekend catered events
- attend food service meetings
- maintain communication with staff via various channels
- perform cashier duties as needed
- promote good public relations
