The Premium Runner position at ONT Field is a part-time, non-exempt role that reports to the Food & Beverage Manager. This role specifically supports food and beverage service in suites and catering locations during events held at ONT Field, a venue covered under a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, meaning the candidate must maintain union membership as a condition of employment. The role offers remuneration at $26.25 per hour. A Premium Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery and servicing of food and drinks, assisting in various food service environments such as concession stands, suite attendants, and catering operations. The employee is tasked with ensuring that all food orders are accurate and complete before delivery, maintaining cleanliness, adhering to company and state beverage service guidelines, and supporting opening and closing duties as assigned. The work environment requires flexibility with scheduling, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays, as events frequently occur during these times. Given the physical demands, the role involves lifting and carrying up to 20-50 lbs for short durations and standing or walking extensively during shifts.

This position requires a person who is energetic, attentive to detail, and able to respond swiftly and resourcefully to challenges. A valid food handler’s card and TIPS certification are required, with Legends Global covering the costs and compensating for training time. The company expects Premium Runners to embody professionalism, strong communication skills, and a customer-first mindset to contribute positively to the guest experience. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, possess previous customer service experience, demonstrate basic math and cash handling capabilities, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with staff at all levels. The Premium Runner must handle multiple responsibilities, sometimes stepping into roles such as a suite attendant, caterer, bar back, or bartender as needed or scheduled. Job Requirements

  • Must be willing to work as a suite attendant, caterer, bar back and/or bartender, if necessary and/or scheduled
  • Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues
  • Daily lifting and carrying up to 20-50 lbs for up to 10 minutes at a time
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Basic math and cash handling experience
  • Valid food handler’s card
  • TIPS certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to interact with all levels of customers and staff including management
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Positive attitude and neat appearance

Job Duties

  • Ensure all food orders are fulfilled fully and received from kitchen without discrepancy or shortages
  • Assist concession stands, suite attendants and caterers as needed with maintaining cleanliness and delivery of food for all suite/catering locations
  • Responsible for completion of opening and closing duties assigned by the Concessions, Suites and Catering Manager or Supervisor
  • Adhere to company and state guidelines when pouring drinks
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Any other duties as assigned
