Delaware North Sportservice is currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join their culinary team at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. This is an exciting leadership role designed for a culinary professional passionate about high-volume kitchen operations and delivering outstanding food quality. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage daily operations, contribute to menu development, and cultivate a motivated and skilled culinary team. The position offers a competitive salary range from $56,900 to $76,800 annually, with additional compensation opportunities including an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. As the Sous Chef at Truist Park, candidates will take on a vital role in supervising and leading a talented culinary team, focusing on maintaining production efficiency and ensuring adherence to recipe and quality standards. The successful candidate will assist in recruitment, training, and mentoring of kitchen staff, helping to create a positive and engaged work environment. Managing food and labor costs will be another key aspect of the role, including scheduling, overseeing inventory controls, and managing ordering and receiving processes effectively.

The role also involves collaborating with the Executive Chef on menu design and recipe development, demanding a strong knowledge of food costing, bulk recipe writing, and culinary trends tailored to a wide range of guests attending sports and other large-scale events at Truist Park. Maintaining compliance with health and safety standards to ensure a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment is crucial. This position requires flexibility with work hours, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, reflecting the dynamic nature of a major sports venue.

Candidates should bring at least three years of culinary experience in a high-volume or production kitchen with previous management responsibilities. Experience in fine dining or high-end restaurants is highly desirable. They must possess exceptional culinary skills, including food presentation, recipe adherence, and leadership capabilities to coach and motivate a diverse culinary team. Knowledge of best practices in food and labor cost management, inventory control, ordering, and food safety is also essential. Proficiency with common computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary, along with the ability to obtain ServSafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures certifications.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years culinary experience with management responsibilities
  • Previous experience in high-volume or production kitchen preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including days evenings weekends holidays and event shifts
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Food Safety Handler and TIPS certifications

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience with previous management responsibilities in a large production kitchen or high-volume food and beverage operation
  • Previous culinary experience in fine dining or high-end restaurant desirable
  • Exceptional skills in high-volume cooking food presentation and precise recipe adherence with the ability to lead coach and motivate a diverse team
  • Knowledge of best practices for monitoring food and labor cost menu development costing ordering inventory and food safety and sanitation
  • Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Food Safety Handler and Training for Intervention Procedures certifications
  • Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
