Job Requirements

  • Perform extensive and continuous standing and walking
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Have the vision ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision and close vision
  • Must have six months or more bartending experience
  • Must have accurate cash handling skills
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and long hours

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
  • Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
  • Check guest's ID in accordance with state and federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement
  • Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
  • Contact management if unable to resolve issues beyond standard decision-making
  • Request additional product or restock as required
  • Handle cash accurately and maintain issued bank at bar
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work station and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • Perform set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with cooler organization
